Career Goals

Ideally, after completing the graduate program I would remain in the Knoxville area. For the last three years, I have been a member of the University Nutrition Student Association (UNSA) and I was recently voted president for the 2024-2025 academic year. I have become very fond of the volunteer opportunities with Second Harvest and would love to continue that work beyond my years at UTK. I hope, after graduating from the graduate program, to remain in Knoxville and work hand in hand in a clinical position as a registered dietitian nutritionist. I would be honored to work alongside patients suffering from autoimmune disorders, however, I would be grateful in any position where I was able to help others through this work. My motivation comes with every breath I take and while I recognize that sounds extreme, it is true. I have spent a decade learning what it means to live in pain and learning the ways I can manage that pain and nutrition has proven to be one of those answers for me.

I want to help others find that same peace.
